God chooses us before we choose Him

The following verses should not be thought to imply that we did not also freely choose God.  Nor are they intended to show that there are not other influences that keep a person from believing in God.

The verses are intended to show the many instances where God elects or chooses us both before and apart from anything we do and that He chooses us according to His own will and purpose, not ours.

God chooses us for salvation before we existed.
God chooses us according to His will first not our will
God gives us to Christ before we give ourselves to Christ.
Many are called but God chooses only a few..
God elects or predestines people to eternal life.
God hides saving knowledge from some people.
God grants faith and repentance.
God’s chooses us so He is glory is maximised.
